des pardes, the mistakes we made
apart from that the people we blamed
emotions are lost and rational is dead
all we can say is at least the children are fed
I’m guilty of this. Did you know that chai means tea? Do you even google what you consume? How adorably stupid.
The superior feeling South Asian in me cackles. Nothing puffs up my ego more than tearing down poor goras that have such misguided indomania. I roll my eyes at nouveaux hippie/hipsters…

Life is in a constant flux. No words could be truer. We struggle to maintain control over our selves. And it’s no wonder when the desires and wants of your soul, body, and mind are constantly pulling on the fabric of your being. Yet there is little to control this. The Buddhists say one must wake up from it all. Realize the situation for what it us and let it guide you to higher state of awareness, Nirvana. In this moment you escape the duality of the consciousness. No longer is your self and the outside world at a constant struggle but it now is at peace.
Wether or not you choose to believe such things one can not argue we are always trying to achieve some sort of Nirvana. The Buddhists also have a word for life without Nirvana. Dukha. Dukha is an interesting concept. The word is difficult to translate, but roughly it means burden which yield sadness. It’s the opposite of Nirvana. It’s something that takes control of your being and holds it down. The longer you stay down the harder it is to get up.
There still exists this duality in Buddhism. Life isn’t that simple. There’s more than just 2 paths and if we are in flux the change should have a more profound effect than yielding a single ending. Or is it?
I feel like writing, but never know where to write or how to start. There’s one truth to writing. It’s an art, a science, and a burden. If you create you must now understand. If you understand you must now find the truth. That what it comes down to, finding the truth. People have died finding it. But what else is there to do in our meek existence than to serve an ultimate purpose.
Bloomberg recently published a scathing report on Rutgers’ spending on its athletic program and its effect on academic departments. The administration has consistently increased the size and scope of these programs, despite its claims about budget crises that they have used to justify wage…
Over and Over
I grow closer and closer
To yet get farther again
We find ourselves to be at the same situation again
I thought I would
I thought I could
But we found it under again
Never the less
We hit it again and find the situation to be dead
